I worked as a free-lance illustrator for many years, mostly in children's educational publishing. During that time I always produced drawings and exhibited these whenever possible. I now draw purely for my own pleasure and have started to exhibit my work again.
My subject matter is fabric, which I manipulate in a variety of ways to exploit its texture, colour and pattern. I draw on paper and card in coloured pencil, with the occasional addition of coloured inks, gouache and watercolour.
